The Kohl's Springer Show
  • Category: Mind of FK

Ok, I am now making it known that I work part time as a sales associate for Kohl's Department Stores. I've been working there for slightly over two years now, but things have been rather crazy and humorous this week. I figured I'd share the experiences. :)

Kohl's was once a big happy family. Well, not really, but never have I seen so much conflict between associates in so little time. Just today an associate up at the registers was paging for additional cashiers to assist her. I for one was unable to answer the call due to being designated to one task this morning. She began calling associates by name who responded to her with an attitude about the situation and in the end refused to assist her because she was "rude to them."

Now, let's take a moment to think about this. The associate claims the cashier was rude to her by asking her to come to the registers to help check out a few customers. Yet, that associate did not respond to the first page for additional cashiers and was not doing anything that was more important than the customer. Where does Kohl's get their associates, idontdoshit.com? By the way, that's not an actual web site. I checked. ;)

Back on story, it just seems that people think they can come to work and experience the pleasure of a vacation. Did she think she wasn't going to work when she came into work today? Not to mention this associate can't even work when she tries. She can't steer a four-high or any other merchandise carrying equipment and crashes dead on to every fixture within five feet of her. This girl believes she's going to drive her boyfriend's 2006 Ford Mustang GT which he pays $900 a month for. I wouldn't let this girl close to a Hyundai with the driving skills she presents. Oh, and did I mention her boyfriend wants to kick my ass? Yeah, I don't know the reason either, but I think it might be the time I took advantage of her stupidity and made her run around from register to register trying to answer the phones I kept calling and hanging up. Yeah, that was fun. :P

Well, now you know a day in the life of Kohl's. For now anyways. As for the other stories, they're all the result of 6th grade maturity levels and people who just can't take a simple joke. I'll be looking forward to the wonderful day tomorrow morning!
